Early Phase Unit
CRA has been conducting Phase II – IV trials in multi-specialty therapeutic areas for the past 18 years, successfully completing over 350 trials in a wide range of therapeutic areas including vaccine and PK trials in both adult and pediatric populations. The addition of an Early Phase unit adjacent to our main research facility in Stockbridge, Georgia (SE Atlanta) will advance CRA's ability to serve our sponsors and patients. The 3,500 square foot, dedicated unit is adjacent to our Stockbridge research site and 2 blocks from Henry County Hospital.
The Early Phase Unit is located less than 2 blocks from interstate highways making it convenient for both patients and monitors. A hotel is located within walking distance as are numerous restaurants.
The Early Phase Unit at CRA is a cost effective Phase I/IIa unit, located in a suburban Atlanta area. The unit has substantial advantages over larger, continuously open Phase I units, utilizing existing coordinators from our adjacent research facility and specialists from the nearby hospital. This adds to CRA' success with pediatric populations by allowing us to use a pediatric phlebotomist and an early childhood specialist to help in our pediatric trials. This ensures both patient and parent are comfortable during a clinical trial.
